What makes a good day for you?

We've had a great whole school assembly today, at the start of Mental Health week, looking at how to look after our mental wellbeing as well as our physical wellbeing.

We reflected on what makes a good day for us. Some of the responses were:

Stroking my pet.

Colouring.

Going to dance class.

Playing sport.

Getting fresh air.

Reading my book.

Playing with friends at playtime.

Having breakfast.

Spending time with my family.

Getting up early.

Being ready for school on time. 

Having time to relax on the sofa.

Playing with lego.

Watching television.

 

We also talked about ways to deal with situations where we feel wobbly inside and shared ways we deal with these. Some of the responses were:

Go somewhere quiet.

Do my breathing - slowly breathing in and out.

Stroke my pet.

Watch television.

Sit on the sofa.

Do some colouring.

Stroke my special pebble.
