Ready Steady Learn in FS2

Today we all had training in Ready Steady Learn.  We practiced calming our bodies down after a busy lunch time.

Top tips from Audrey - the trainer and expert!

  • Keep your  back straight.
  • Your shoulders soft.
  • Your eyes soft.
  • Your heart soft.
  • Breathe in gently, lifting the air up with your hands.
  • Breathe out gently pushing the air down with your hands.
  • Think of your favourite colour. Imagine you can see it.
  • Imagine you can smell flowers in the garden.
  • Imagine tasting your favourite fruit.
  • Put your hands on your knees and feel the material under your fingers.

The children in FS2 responded really well to this. They told us that when they were doing Ready Steady Learn they felt safe, calm, brave, happy.
