School Council
School Council 2018-19
What is a School Council?
One way children can express themselves and share their opinions is through their School Council. A school council allows all children to share their view and ideas about their school.
At Oldfield, we believe that EVERYONE is important and that EVERYONE can have fantastic ideas! We also believe that the most important people in school are you, the pupils. Therefore, we want EVERYONE to share their ideas and help us improve our school. This is the role of the school council. Having a School Council not only benefits you, but it benefits the teachers too!
How does a School Council work?
Each class has two representatives whose job is to listen to their class’s ideas and share them at School Council meetings. After meetings, school councillors can feed back to their class about what has been talked about during the meetings.
School Council updates
We have made posters to share with our class with rules for staying safe when using laptops and IPads in school.
