Miss Young and Mrs Rustom

Hello Team 6,

Can you believe we’ve only got 2 weeks left at Oldfield! Use this time to reflect on how far you’ve come and really enjoy these precious remaining moments.

Please browse the following information regarding home learning tasks for the week beginning 6th July. As always, you are more than welcome to do your own learning in replacement or alongside what is being set- explore the ‘Online Educational Sites’ document gallery item ‘Optional Tasks’ for suggestions.

- irregular wordsFound on spelling page, listed week 37- 10th  July.

I encourage you to complete your last weekly test noting down your score and any corrections required.

English Tasks:

Please work through the ‘Wonder- English tasks’ found in our gallery area. Instructions for completing the lessons via PowerPoints, audiobook recordings, and corresponding worksheets are detailed in the gallery description. The sessions are brilliant (at least I think so) therefore, I’ve included one for each day this week. Find lessons 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 in the gallery.

Maths Tasks:

Please follow the lesson format provided by White Rose Maths Hub shared in the gallery ‘Maths Tasks WB 6th July’ Instructions for completing the lessons via video clips and corresponding worksheets are detailed in the gallery description.

Other Tasks:

Please ensure you have listened to all clips from the ‘Y6 Transition’ gallery.  Then follow this weeks other tasks:

1- send in your Y6's Got Talent entry. It could be a video or picture of anything at all you are proud of and would like to celebrate. Entries are to be emailed to myself, if videos files are too large, send me a message and I will provide an alternative.

2- enjoy your final Oldfield Sports Day. Miss Jones has created a fantastic, inclusive and virtual sports day just for Y6. Please work through the tasks set and if you’d like to compete for a gold, silver or bronze place along with a certificate you must fill out the individual score sheet. All attachments can be found in the files section.

3- create an identity T-Shirt. Those in school will do this on Thursday and must have your T-Shirt and design in on the day. If you forget, you will create a poster instead.

4- record your Buddy story time clip. If you’re learning from home, you can read a story you may already have or even film a little message for your Buddy instead. Those of you learning in school on Thursday and Friday, will complete this task then.

If you missed the Friday Quiz, you can find the Y6 'Who's Who' answers in the files section. Don't forget you can contact me via our class page or my email address-
