We looked at an owl and felt its feathers, felt a furry bat skin and the spiky quills from a porcupine. We talked about different nocturnal animals and played a game.

We enjoyed watching the caterpillars and learned all about life cycles. We let our butterflies go so they can lay their eggs to make more caterpillars.
The symmetrical butterflies you did for homework are lovely and now they are all around our classroom. Well done everyone!

The children have enjoyed our yoga sessions. Last week we met Colonel Crockles the Crocodile and this week we battled the Storm Troopers and helped Princess Leia save the day!

We had a wonderful time with Austin from Action Transport.
We acted out the story through role play and dressing up. We played games, listened to music from the show and learned about all the different jobs people do to put on a production

We welcome Alice Matthews and Jasmine Peers back to Oldfield this week! Alice and Jasmine both attended Oldfield themselves so it is lovely to welcome them back and support them as part of their work experience with Christleton High School. Thank you to everyone who generously donated to the charity SHINE (Spina Bifida, Hydrocephalus, Information, Networking, Equality) on our non uniform day. We raised £178.25. As you can see from the photographs, yellow was central to our day! A special thank you to Mrs Stark and her team for organising a tasty yellow themed lunch.
