We had lots of fun on Friday at out teddy bear picnic party. We played pass the parcel, the chocolate game and pin the crown on King Pig. We also had some nibbles and drink.

Today we organised a maths quiz for the chidlren. The children were in teams and they had to create a team name. They had 10 questions which related to the maths work we have covered in class. In the end we had two winning teams who won a little chocolate as a prize!

Y2 Fire Station and Candle Factory Visit, by Miss Shaw

Year 2 had a brilliant time on their school trip this week. In the morning we went to Chester Fire Station and learnt all about the firefighters and the equipment they use. In the afternoon we went to the Candle Factory in Burwardsley. We made a candle and a candle holder.

On Thursday afternoon, Year 6 took part in a World War 2 themed game and craft session. This involved the children learning all about the sorts of games children would play during the war. They also looked at what sorts of craft activities they would have done to keep themselves occupied and that were of use during those challenging times.

Our movies and cinema theme cake sale was the best yet! Raised a fantastic £138!! Amazing! Congratulations to all the winners! Thank you to everyone who created the wonderful selection of great looking and great tasting cakes!!!! Fabulous ideas as always ....please see school website and Pta Facebook/website for pictures. Worth a look as some amazing designs! Thank you also to everyone who helped me set up , sell and clear up! Really do appreciate it! And finally a big thank you to all our customers !!!
