Under 9s girls football

On Friday afternoon, Miss Jones took 6 children from Year 3 and 4 to take part in a girls football tournament. The team played 4 other local schools. For most of the team, it was their first ever football match! They played brilliantly together as a team and learnt lots of skills as they played more games. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they played each game. A special mention to Heather for her brilliant goal and Eve for her amazing goal keeping. 

Thanks to Mr Powis and Mr Evans for their sideline support and thanks to Mrs Weeks for helping with transport too.
