Year 2 Investigating Artefacts, by Miss Shaw
Date: 19th Jan 2015 @ 5:08pm
This week we have been looking very closely at some artefacts that have been brought back from Kenya and from South Africa.
We have been learning about creating light and dark using pencils and how to use different types of pencil to create texture when drawing. We applied what we had learned by creating some detailed drawing of our artefacts. Just look how fabulous our drawings are!

Well done to the boys who took part in the Chester Cup Finals at Christleton High School. They came top of their group without conceding a single goal! They played so well in the semi final, but unfortunately lost 1-0. A great achievement against 24 other Chester Schools. You represented the school so well and we are proud of you. Mr H :)

Y1 Science, by Miss Lynch
Date: 25th Nov 2014 @ 4:20pm
The children really enjoyed learning about light sources. At first, lots of the children thought that shiny objects were light sources so we did a test to investigate this. The children went into a dark area and found out that shiny objects don't produce their own light. But they can reflect light.
Well done to Adam for knowing that the moon is not a light source and that it reflects the sunlight.
