Forest School, by Miss Jones
Date: 19th May 2023 @ 3:43pm
What another fabulous day at Forest school. We built farms for Bunce, Boggis and Bean and a home for The Fantastic Mr Fox and his family. The children worked incredibly in teams and were so proud of what they achieved… so were we! Everyone enjoyed toasting marshmallows and warming up after a bit of a rainy start. In the afternoon, the children went on a bug hunt, played some forest games and learnt how to create a spark on the dragon sneeze to light a fire. Well done Year 2… it has been a pleasure to watch your enthusiasm and creativity today!

Coronation day in Year 1, by Mrs Bailey
Date: 5th May 2023 @ 4:59pm
We had lots of fun celebrating the Coronation in Year 1 today. We enjoyed placing our newly painted stones in the Coronation Garden, spending time in the garden sketching some of the new plants noticing similiarities and differemces between them and also relaxing in this quiet area. Today we made royal crowns, developing our cutting skills, measuring skills and problem solving to make them fit our head! Lots of the children wore the hats all day! Thank you to the team in the kitchen for a delicious lunch.
We all took home our commemorative bookmarks at the end of a fun filled day.

Year 4's David Attenborough style voice-overs, by Mrs Hover
Date: 1st May 2023 @ 7:18am
The Year 4 class continue to impress us with their writing! Here are some examples of a short writing task where they were asked to choose an animal and create a voice-over. Beforehand, we had watched a David Attenborough clip showing the amazing 'draco lizard'!
The children clearly love animals and are very knowledgable. Some of the animals they chose included the Gila Monster, the Arctic Fox, bears; anacondas and some children chose animals closer to home such as their pet dogs, cats and guinea pigs!
